Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humanoid robot allowing a person interacting therewith to receive an impression that the humanoid robot is like a human more than conventional one is, with an associated feeling of friendliness coming up.SOLUTION: A humanoid robot comprises a head part pivotally supported by a base member 21 in a manner rotatable about an axis of a first shaft member 31 extending horizontally. The base member 21 is pivotally supported by a head support frame 23 in a manner rotatable about an axis of a second shaft member extending vertically. A first electric motor 55 is supported by the base member 21, and rotates the head part relatively to the base member 21 about the axis of the first shaft member 31.
