PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic/inorganic composite porous film, and an electrochemical element comprising the same.SOLUTION: There is provided an organic/inorganic composite porous film comprising (a) a porous substrate having pores, and (b) an active layer obtained by coating the mixture of inorganic particles and a binder polymer on the surface of the porous substrate or on a part of the pores in the substrate. In the active layer, the inorganic particles are bonded to one another with the binder polymer, and interstitial volumes among the inorganic particles form a pore structure. A method for manufacturing the organic/inorganic composite porous film and an electrochemical element comprising the organic/inorganic composite porous film are also provided.
