Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a gas sensor in which a display part attached to each sensor element can reliably be read irrespective of size reduction of the sensor element, and the gas sensor.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a gas sensor for reading a display part 40 attached to a surface of a sensor element 100 and including information on the sensor element. The sensor element has a tip side and a rear end side which protrude from a tip and a rear end of a main body metal fitting 30. A cylindrical insulation holder 39 fixed by a caulking part 30a formed by inwardly bending the rear end part of the main body metal fitting is arranged between the sensor element and the main body metal fitting. A read end facing surface of the insulation holder is positioned closer to the tip than the rear end of the caulking part. At least a part of the display part is attached to the surface of the sensor element between the caulking part and the insulation holder. The display part is read from a direction which intersects with an axial line O of the sensor element and from which the entire display part between the caulking part and the insulation holder can visually be recognised.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】センサ素子を小型化しても、センサ素子毎に付けられた表示部を確実に読み取ることができるガスセンサの製造方法及びガスセンサを提供する。【解決手段】センサ素子100の表面に付けられ、該センサ素子に関する情報を含む表示部40を読み取るガスセンサの製造方法であって、センサ素子は自身の先端側及び後端側が主体金具30の先端及び後端からそれぞれ突出し、センサ素子と主体金具との間には、主体金具の後端部が内側に屈曲してなる加締め部30aによって固定される筒状の絶縁ホルダ39が配置され、絶縁ホルダの後端向き面は加締め部の後端よりも先端側に位置しており、表示部の少なくとも一部は、加締め部と絶縁ホルダとの間におけるセンサ素子の表面に付けられており、センサ素子の軸線Oに交差する方向であって、加締め部と絶縁ホルダとの間の表示部の全体が視認できる方向から表示部を読み取る。【選択図】図2 |
