Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which a sufficient effect of high spatial resolution with adaptive type signal processing to which an FDI method is applied cannot be obtained because a waveform of an acoustic wave transmitted into a subject is changed due to the position where the acoustic wave reaches.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device relating to this invention includes: a plurality of conversion elements which transmit acoustic waves to a subject and receive reflection waves reflected in the subject to respectively convert the reflection waves into time-sequential reception signals; and processing means which performs frequency domain interferometry to which adaptive type signal processing is applied by using the plurality of reception signals outputted from the plurality of conversion elements and a reference signal to obtain acoustic characteristics of a plurality of positions in the subject. The processing means performs the frequency domain interferometry by switching the reference signal at least one time in accordance with the positions in the subject to obtain the acoustic characteristics of the plurality of positions in the subject.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】 被検体内へ送信された音響波は、その到達する位置により波形が変化する。そのため、FDI法を適用した適応型信号処理による高空間分解能化の効果を十分得られない場合があった。【解決手段】 本発明の被検体情報取得装置は、被検体に音響波を送信し、被検体内で反射した反射波を受信して時系列の受信信号に夫々変換する複数の変換素子と、前記複数の変換素子から出力される複数の前記受信信号と参照信号とを用いて、適応型信号処理を適用した周波数領域干渉計法を行い、被検体内の複数の位置の音響特性を求める処理手段と、を有し、前記処理手段は、前記被検体内の位置に応じ少なくとも1回は参照信号を切り替えて前記周波数領域干渉計法を行い、被検体内の複数の位置の音響特性を求める。【選択図】 図3
