Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating a service condition of stainless steel with improved accuracy, and a method for calculating a remaining life of the stainless steel.SOLUTION: A replica or a sample of stainless steel is obtained, and its surface is etched. Particle size of a σ phase on the surface is measured, and service temperature of a member made of the stainless steel is calculated on the basis of the particle size of the σ phase. Subsequently, the whole life of the stainless steel is obtained, and its remaining life is obtained by subtracting used hours from the whole life.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】ステンレス鋼材の使用状態をより正確に推定する方法及びステンレス鋼材の余寿命を算出する方法を提供する。【解決手段】ステンレス鋼材のレプリカあるいはサンプルを取得し、表面をエッチング処理し、表面におけるσ相の粒子径を計測し、σ相の粒子径に基づいてステンレス鋼からなる部材の使用温度を算出する。続いて全寿命を求め、全寿命から使用時間を減算することによって余寿命を求める。【選択図】図3
