Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat battery capable of suppressing a solid with a relatively large heat capacity from being released from the inside of an outer packaging body even if a laminate film constituting the outer packaging body is partially broken by internal pressure rise.SOLUTION: A flat battery 10 includes: a power generating element 11 including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate laminated via a separator; a bag-shaped outer packaging body formed of a laminate film 12 and sealing the power generating element 11 at the inside thereof; and a fiber body 13 embedded in the laminate film 12.
