PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-angle imaging lens that has a small F-number and small distortion aberration, and an imaging apparatus having the same.SOLUTION: The imaging lens is provided that is comprised of, in order from the object side, a first lens group G1, an aperture stop St, and a positive second lens group G2. The first lens group G1 is comprised of, in order from the object side; a 1-1th negative meniscus lens L11 having a convex surface on the object side; a 1-2th negative lens L12 having a concave surface on the image side; a 1-3th positive biconvex lens L13; a 1-4th negative meniscus lens L14 having a convex surface of the object side; and a 1-5th positive lens L15 having a convex surface on the object side.
