Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal projector apparatus that controls the temperatures of display devices so that a suitable temperature balance can be maintained between the display devices even in an environment where not all the display devices can be controlled within a predetermined temperature range.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal projector apparatus comprises: a plurality of display devices 161, 221, and 251 that respectively modulate light with different color components; and a control part 27 that controls the respective temperatures of the plurality of display devices. When the temperature of at least one display device of the plurality of display devices 161, 221, and 251 is decreased to below the lower limit of a predetermined temperature range, the control part 27 controls the temperatures of the other display devices to be within a predetermined range with the temperature of the display device at the lowest temperature as a reference, and when the temperature of the at least one display device is increased to above the upper limit of the predetermined temperature range, controls the temperatures of the other display devices to be within a predetermined range with the temperature of the display device at the highest temperature as a reference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】全ての表示素子を所定の温度範囲内に制御できない環境下においても各表示素子間で好適な温度バランスが保たれるように、各表示素子の温度を制御する液晶プロジェクタ装置を提供する。【解決手段】液晶プロジェクタ装置は、それぞれが異なる色成分の光を変調する複数の表示素子161、221、251と、前記複数の表示素子それぞれの温度を制御する制御部27とを備える。制御部27は、前記複数の表示素子161、221、251の内、少なくとも1つの表示素子が前記所定の温度範囲の下限より低い温度となった場合、他の表示素子の温度を最も温度の低い表示素子の温度を基準とした所定範囲内になるように制御し、少なくとも1つの表示素子が前記所定の温度範囲の上限より高い温度となった場合、他の表示素子の温度を最も温度の高い表示素子の温度を基準とした所定範囲内になるように制御する。【選択図】図2
