Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning-fork type crystal vibrator having excellent electrostatic breakdown voltage characteristics.SOLUTION: A tuning-fork type crystal vibrator 20 includes: a base 11; a first vibration arm 13a; a second vibration arm 13b; a support arm 15; a first excitation electrode 21a; and a second excitation electrode 21b. The first excitation electrode is adapted to be dragged from a first connection pad 19ax to a side surface of the first vibration arm through an area composed of part of a principal surface of the support arm and part of a side surface of the first vibration arm, an inner bottom surface of a first crotch section 17a located between the support arm and the first vibration arm, and a peripheral section of the first crotch section of the base.
