PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that can efficiently recover a toner accumulated on a toner receiving member.SOLUTION: A developing device comprises a developing roller, toner supply roller, regulating blade, casing, toner receiving support member, toner receiving member, and vibration generating device. The toner receiving support member is arranged inside the casing and faces the developing roller or toner supply roller between the regulating blade and an image carrier. The toner receiving member includes a toner receiving surface that is arranged along the longitudinal direction of the toner receiving support member and receives a toner dropped from the developing roller. A sheet-like toner breaking member is attached along the toner receiving member to be overlapped over substantially the entire area in the longitudinal direction of the toner receiving surface.
