PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a weather data processing apparatus which can certainly detect a core of a cumulonimbus by relatively simple weather data processing, and can display an image of the core together with a three-dimensional image of the entire cumulonimbus.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a weather data processing apparatus includes means of collecting weather data observed by a weather radar, core detection means, and display control means. The core detection means acquires three-dimensional data of a cumulonimbus from the weather data, detects a core of the cumulonimbus by using principal component analysis processing of the three-dimensional data, and calculates core detection data for displaying the core. The display control means executes display processing for performing three-dimensional display of the cumulonimbus and display of the core on the basis of the three-dimensional data of the cumulonimbus and the core detection data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】相対的に簡易な気象データ処理により、積乱雲のコアを確実に検出し、積乱雲全体の３次元表示と共にコアのイメージを表示できる気象データ処理装置を実現するという課題がある。【解決手段】本実施形態の気象データ処理装置は、気象レーダにより観測された気象データを収集する手段と、コア検出手段と、表示制御手段とを具備する。前記コア検出手段は、前記気象データから積乱雲の３次元データを取得し、前記３次元データの主成分分析処理を使用して前記積乱雲のコアを検出し、前記コアを表示するためのコア検出データを算出する。前記表示制御手段は、前記積乱雲の３次元データ及び前記コア検出データに基づいて、前記積乱雲の３次元表示及び前記コアの表示を行うための表示処理を実行する。【選択図】図１
