Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twin screw extruder where contamination due to a gate adjusting the degree of kneading can be prevented and the degree of kneading from a resin having high melt viscosity conventionally hard to be kneaded to a resin having low viscosity can be excellently adjusted.SOLUTION: In a twin screw extruder provided with a gate opening/closing in a state of sandwiching a screw in the cylinder cross section of the twin screw extruder and adjusting the degree of kneading by narrowing a carrying passage of a kneaded material to downstream: gate screw elements at a portion facing the gate of the screw are engaged each other so as to have a length of 1 pitch or more and make self-cleaning; and the gate projects from the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder to a position substantially equal to the crest diameter of the gate screw element and has projection amount adjusting means capable of narrowing the carrying passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明は、混練度を調整するゲートに起因するコンタミを防止することができ、従来困難であった溶融粘度が高い樹脂から低粘度の樹脂まで良好に混練度を調整することができる二軸押出機を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係る二軸押出機は、二軸押出機のシリンダ横断面にスクリュを挟んで開閉し、混練物の下流への移送流路を絞って混練度調整を行うゲートが設けられた二軸押出機であって、前記スクリュのゲートに対向する部分のゲートスクリュエレメントは、1ピッチ以上の長さを有してセルフクリーニングするように相互にかみ合い、前記ゲートは、前記シリンダの内周面から前記ゲートスクリュエレメントの山径にほぼ等しい位置まで突出して前記移送流路を絞ることができる突出量調整手段を有してなる。【選択図】図1
