Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose failure of a pilot injection device.SOLUTION: This embodiment includes: an engine device 21 that can respond to both of a premixed combustion mode of supplying premixed fuel obtained by premixing gas fuel with air into a cylinder 36 and burning the premixed fuel and a diffusion combustion mode of supplying liquid fuel into the cylinder 36 and burning the liquid fuel; a gas supply device 98 for supplying gas fuel into the cylinder 36 in the premixed combustion mode; a pilot injection device 82 for injecting the liquid fuel into the cylinder 36 in the premixed combustion mode; and a main injection device 79 for supplying the liquid fuel into the cylinder 36 in the diffusion combustion mode.
