Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat insulated wire which is formed so as to make a thickness of an insulation coating uniform and thick in an outer circumferential direction while suppressing scratches of the surface of the insulation coating by rolling in the flat insulated wire.SOLUTION: A flat insulated wire is formed of a flat conductor which is formed of a copper material and has a rectangular cross section and an insulation coating which is provided on the outer periphery of the flat conductor and is formed from a thermosetting resin, where the copper material contains titanium concentration of 5 mass ppm or more and 55 mass ppm or less, sulfur concentration of 3 mass ppm or more and 12 mass ppm or less, oxygen concentration of 2 mass ppm or more and 30 mass ppm or less, the balance copper with inevitable impurities, a ratio of the titanium concentration to the oxygen concentration is 2.0 or more and 4.0 or less, and the insulation coating has a difference between the maximum thickness and the minimum thickness in the outer circumferential direction of 10 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
