Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aqueous ink which can suppress lowering of dischargeability by scorch caused by zirconia, in ink discharged in a thermal method.SOLUTION: Aqueous ink is used for an inkjet recording method which discharges ink from a recording head by action of thermal energy to record images on a recording medium. The aqueous ink contains a zirconium oxide, a pigment, a resin dispersant and resin particles, where a content of the zirconium oxide (in terms of Zr; ppm) is 0.5 ppm or more and 20.0 ppm or less, the pigment is a phthalocyanine pigment and the like, and the resin particles are formed of an acrylic resin, has 50% diameter (D50) based on volume distribution of 10 nm or more and 50 nm or less and has a glass transition temperature of 20°C or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】サーマル方式で吐出されるインクにおいて、ジルコニアに起因するコゲによる吐出性の低下を抑制することができるインクを提供する。【解決手段】熱エネルギーの作用により記録ヘッドからインクを吐出させて記録媒体に画像を記録するインクジェット記録方法に用いる水性インクである。酸化ジルコニウム、顔料、樹脂分散剤、及び樹脂粒子を含有し、酸化ジルコニウム含有量(Zr換算;ppm)が0.5ppm以上20.0ppm以下であり、顔料はフタロシアニン顔料などであり、樹脂粒子は、アクリル樹脂により形成されているとともに、体積分布基準の50%粒径(D50)が10nm以上50nm以下であり、かつ、ガラス転移温度が20℃以下である。【選択図】なし
