Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoking article comprising a combustible heat source and an aerosol-forming substrate downstream of the combustible heat source.SOLUTION: A smoking article 2 comprises: a combustible heat source 4 with opposed front and rear faces; an aerosol-forming substrate 6 downstream of the rear face of the combustible heat source 4; an outer wrapper 12 circumscribing the aerosol-forming substrate and at least a rear portion of the combustible heat source; and one or more airflow pathways along which air may be drawn through the smoking article 2 for inhalation by a user.
