Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method for a structure for joining columns together, which can prevent a side wall of a joint steel pipe from causing out-of-plane deformation, even when a horizontal force acts on the joint steel pipe, and the structure for joining the columns together.SOLUTION: Fillet welding makes ribs 37 provided in upper and lower parts of an inner peripheral surface of a side wall except a corner part 39 of a joint steel pipe 31 in such a manner as to protrude inward from the inner peripheral surface.
