Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encapsulation material for light source capable of permeating lights from ultraviolet to infrared and low in glass transition temperature.SOLUTION: There is provided an encapsulation material for light source in which the encapsulation material for encapsulating a light source is arranged at a position where a light of the light source can be injected, the encapsulation material is a glass layer of a fluorine-containing glass which permeate the light of the light source. There is provided an encapsulation material for light source where the fluorine-containing glass is preferably a fluoride glass or a fluorophosphate glass, where 30 mol% or more of all anion constituting the glass is fluorine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明は、紫外〜赤外にかけての光を透過可能であり、かつガラス転移温度が低い光源封止用の封止材を得ることを目的とした。【解決手段】光源を封止する封止材が、該光源の光が入射可能な位置に配置されるものである光源用封止材において、該封止材は該光源の光を透過する含フッ素ガラスのガラス層であることを特徴とする光源用封止材。また、前記含フッ素ガラスは、ガラスを構成する全アニオンの30モル%以上がフッ素であり、好ましくはフッ化物ガラス又はフツリン酸ガラスであることを特徴とする光源用封止材。【選択図】図1
