Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device which can suppress that torque to be added to a turning wheel largely varies as automatic steering processing switches to manual steering processing.SOLUTION: In the case that a switch request to manual steering processing is made when a steering 10 is rotary operated in either clockwise turning or anticlockwise turning while steering in the other way is performed by automatic steering processing, value at the time when the switch request of the torque of an electric motor 34 is made is held. When the state that the steering 10 is rotary operated in the one way is switched to the state that it is rotary operated in either way, the torque of the electric motor 34 is gradually reduced as an absolute value of an amount of change of a steering angle becomes larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】自動操舵処理から手動操舵処理への切替に伴って転舵輪に加わるトルクが大きく変動することを抑制できるようにした運転支援装置を提供する。【解決手段】自動操舵処理によって右旋回および左旋回のいずれか一方への操舵がなされているときにステアリング10が他方に回転操作されて手動操舵処理への切替要求が生じる場合、電動機34のトルクを切替要求が生じた時点の値に保持する。そしてステアリング10が他方に回転操作される状態からいずれか一方側に回転操作される状態に切り替わる場合、操舵角の変化量の絶対値が大きくなるにつれて電動機34のトルクを漸減させる。【選択図】図1
