Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a glass component for water-area, capable of retaining antifogging properties for a long period immediately after use start, and usable in an indoor water-area circumstance.SOLUTION: A glass component for water-area is used in an indoor water-area circumstance. The glass component for water-area includes a glass substrate, and an amorphous carbon layer provided on the surface of the glass substrate, and containing a hydrogen atom and a carbon atom. The amorphous carbon layer has a density of less than 2.0 g/cm. The amorphous carbon layer further contains an oxygen atom, and in the amorphous carbon layer, an O/C ratio on the surface is larger than 0.3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 本発明は、使用開始直後から長期にわたって防曇性を維持することが可能な屋内水まわり環境で用いられる水まわり用ガラス部材を得ることを目的としている。
