Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recognition device capable of properly recognizing a travel range on which a vehicle travels.SOLUTION: A recognition device 20 is mounted on a vehicle for recognizing a travel range on which the vehicle travels. The recognition device includes: an edge detection unit 23 that detects an edge line which defines one edge in a lateral direction perpendicular to a travelling direction of the vehicle in the travel range; an object detection unit 22 that detects the position of a moving body which positions in a forward position in the travelling direction of the vehicle; and a correction unit 24 that, when the moving body positions between the vehicle and the edge line in a lateral direction, corrects the position of the edge line detected by the edge detection unit 23 in the lateral direction between the vehicle and the moving body or within the width of the moving body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
