Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a central processing unit and method for an observed person monitoring system capable of further reducing time and efforts in making a nursing/care record, and the observed person monitoring system.SOLUTION: As one example of the central processing unit, a management server device SV is configured to manage a predetermined event relating to an observed person Ob detected by a sensor unit SU that is provided correspondingly to the observed person Ob, and notifies terminal devices SP and TA of the predetermined event.
