Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device for identifying residual yarns on spinning bobbin winding tubes, a winder with a circular magazine having such a detection device, and a method for identifying the residual yarns on the spinning bobbin winding tubes.SOLUTION: A detection device 13 comprises: means for transferring a spinning bobbin winding tube 6 in a laterally laid state; and a sensor 11. The sensor 11 is configured and arranged to detect the spinning bobbin winding tube 6 during transfer thereof in the laterally laid state. The sensor 11 is connected to a control unit 12 to transmit detected data. The control unit 12 is adjusted to determine, by comparing the detected data with a predetermined reference value: whether or not one or more residual yarns are present on the spinning bobbin winding tubes 6; on which parts of the spinning bobbin winding tubes 6, the detected residual yarns are positioned; and amounts of yarns present. The control unit 12 is configured to start respective different selections on the respective spinning bobbin winding tubes 6 depending on the determined results.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
