Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope and an electronic endoscope system having a simple configuration and in which setting data optimal to a memory in the electronic endoscope can be stored without imposing time and effort on a user.SOLUTION: A candidate data storage unit (100A) stores a plurality of pieces of candidate data associated with a plurality of respective electronic endoscope. A candidate data extraction unit (100B) extracts one of the plurality of pieces of candidate data stored in the candidate data storage unit (100A) by communication with an external device (200).
