PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-containing material having improved strength in the out-of-plane direction without reduction in the strength in the in-plane direction, an insertion method of out-of-plane reinforcing yarn, and a manufacturing method of the fiber-containing material.SOLUTION: A fiber-containing material 10 includes a base material 12 and out-of-plane reinforcing yarn 14. The base material 12 includes reinforcing fiber 12f extending in the direction along the plane.
