Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic suction-type liquid discharge device, which can reduce effectively a deviation of an impact position from a desired position, with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device 100 comprises: a liquid discharge head 101 including a plurality of parallely arranged electrodes; an opposing electrode 102 arranged at a position opposing to the liquid discharge head 101; and a control portion 501 that controls voltages to be applied to the electrodes so that the plurality of electrodes respectively are driven as a discharging electrode by which liquid is discharged or a non-discharging electrode by which liquid is not discharged.
