Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of improving detection accuracy for fine particles at a dirt detection unit.SOLUTION: An air cleaner includes updraft generation means 10 of guiding air to a detection region Ar with updraft Au; downdraft generation means 10 of guiding the air thereto with downdraft Ad; and an airflow control device configured to control the updraft generation means and downdraft generation means so that the downdraft and updraft are alternately guided to the detection region.
