Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having long-lasting mat effects while giving excellent quality, thus being useful for cosmetics.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a composition in the form of an emulsion, the composition comprising: (a) at least one type of oil-absorbing organic particles having an oil-absorbing capacity of 170 ml/100 g or more, preferably 250 ml/100 g or more, and more preferably 400 ml/100 g or more and a volume average particle diameter of less than 30 μm, preferably less than 25 μm, and more preferably less than 20 μm; (b) at least one type of oil; (c) at least one type of an emulsifier; (d) water; and (e) optionally at least one type of additional oil-absorbing particles. The total oil-absorbing capacity of (a) the oil-absorbing organic particles and (e) additional oil-absorbing particles in the composition is more than 170 ml/100 g.
