Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device or the like capable of reading a reflection light beam by a reading sensor formed by a one-line contact image sensor by irradiating an original with light by sequentially turning on a plurality of light sources and capable of accurately detecting inclination of the original.SOLUTION: An image reading device comprises: a plurality of light sources 206a; a reading sensor 206c formed by one-line contact image sensor for reading an image of an original 300 by sequentially turning on the light sources; inclination detection means 100 that detects an inclination of the original from a gradation change of the image in one end or both ends of a sub-scanning direction of the original to be read by the reading sensor; and optical control means 100 that continuously turns on any one of the plurality of light sources when reading one end or both ends of the sub-scanning direction of the original by the reading sensor, and sequentially switches the plurality of light sources so as to be turned on when reading an inner region of the original excluding one end or both ends in the sub-scanning direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
