Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a secondary battery, having a separator layer or an electrolyte layer formed on electrode foil via an electrode layer, which can prevent a short-circuit between a cut portion of an electrode and electrode foil lead out from a laminate of a negative electrode and a positive electrode; and a method of manufacturing the secondary battery.SOLUTION: Provided is a secondary battery having an electrode group in which a plurality of negative electrodes 21 and positive electrodes 11 are alternately laminated. In the secondary battery, an electrode layer 2 and an electrode foil 4 constituting an end of the negative electrodes 21 in the vicinity of electrode foil 3 lead out from the positive electrodes 11 are covered with and protected by an insulating layer 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】電極箔上に電極層を介してセパレータ層または電解質層を形成する二次電池において、電極の切断部と、負極および正極の積層体から引き出された電極箔との間での短絡が発生することを防止する二次電池およびその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】負極21および正極11を交互に複数積層した電極群を有する二次電池において、正極11から引き出された電極箔3の近傍の負極21の端部を構成する電極層2および電極箔4を、絶縁層8により覆うことで保護する。【選択図】図1
