PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect that jam occurs due to accumulation of mobile objects.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus recognizes that a retention phenomenon for one object occurs when the position of the one object does not change over a prescribed number of continuous frame images, recognizes that the jam phenomenon occurs when recognizing that the retention phenomenon even for N or more objects other than the one object occurs within a prescribed range with the position in the frame image of the one object as a reference, recognizes that the overlapping phenomenon occurs between the one object and the other object when the position of the one object and the position of the other object overlap each other on the image, and recognizes that the jam phenomenon occurs when recognizing that M or more overlapping phenomena occur other than the overlapping phenomenon between the one object and the other object within the prescribed range with the position in the frame image of the one object as the reference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 47 【課題】移動物体同士が積み重なることで詰まりが発生していることを検出すること。【解決手段】連続する所定数のフレーム画像に亘って、一の対象物の位置が変化していない場合に、該一の対象物について停留現象が発生したと認識する。該一の対象物のフレーム画像における位置を基準とした所定範囲内で、該一の対象物以外のＮ個以上の対象物についても停留現象が発生したと認識した場合に、詰まり現象が発生したと認識する。また、一の対象物の位置と他の対象物の位置とが画像上で重なっている場合に、該一の対象物と該他の対象物との間で重なり現象が発生していると認識する。該一の対象物のフレーム画像における位置を基準とした所定範囲内で、該一の対象物と該他の対象物との間での重なり現象以外にもＭ個以上の重なり現象が発生していると認識した場合に、詰まり現象が発生したと認識する。【選択図】図４７
