Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of photographing a subject, which may change at each timing of interval photography, in an in-focus state even if the subject moves.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 comprises an optical unit 102 and an imaging element 104, and performs interval photography at intervals of set time. A distance map information acquisition part 113 acquires distance map information, representing a depth-directional depth of each subject in a captured image, at each timing of photography. A distance map comparison part 114 compares distance map information of different photography time to detect whether distance information has change. A CPU 101 performs focus adjustment control over an optical unit 102 according to position information in an image corresponding to change of the distance information if the distance map comparison part 114 detects the change of the distance information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】被写体が動いた場合でも、インターバル撮影のタイミングごとに変化し得る被写体に焦点を合わせた撮影が可能な撮像装置を提供する。
