Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved manufacturing method of a porous carbon material capable of removing silver from a composite material containing silver and carbon and capable of producing the porous carbon material suitable for a catalyst carrying material, a capacitor material or the like from the composite material.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a porous carbon material has a removal process for treating a composite material containing metal and carbon obtained by decomposition of metal acetylide under a reduced pressure atmosphere at a temperature of 1200°C to 2300°C, and volatilizing at least a part of the metal from the composite material and removing the same. In the removal process, a treatment is conducted for example under the reduced pressure atmosphere of 1.0 Pa to 5000 kPa.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】銀と炭素とを含む複合材料から銀を除去可能であり、当該複合材料から触媒担体材料やキャパシター材料等に適した多孔質炭素材料を生産することが可能な、新規かつ改良された多孔質炭素材料の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の多孔質炭素材料の製造方法は、金属アセチリドの分解によって得られる金属と炭素とを含む複合材料を、減圧雰囲気下にて、1200℃以上2300℃以下の温度で処理し、前記複合材料から前記金属の少なくとも一部を気化させ、除去する除去工程を有する。前記除去工程において、例えば、1.0Pa以上、5000kPa以下の減圧雰囲気下で処理が行われる。【選択図】なし
