Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement in blood retention performance of nucleic acid in a cationic polymer type carrier.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is a unit structure type pharmaceutical composition consisting of: one block copolymer having a cationic polyamino acid segment and a hydrophilic polymer chain segment; and one nucleic acid. The positive charge of the cationic polyamino acid segment and the negative charge of the nucleic acid cancel each other and are thus electrically neutral. The nucleic acid is covered with a hydrophilic polymer chain segment. The nucleic acid has a chain length of 10 to 30 bases. The block copolymer has a cationic polyamino acid segment and a poly (ethylene glycol) chain as the hydrophilic polymer chain segment disposed at one end of the cationic polyamino acid segment.
