PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire preventing removal of a distal end bond portion from a coil body by improving bonding strength between the distal end bond portion and the coil body of the guide wire.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1 includes a core shaft 5, a coil body 3 covering an outer periphery of the core shaft 5, and a joining part 7 for joining a distal end of the core shaft 5 to a distal end of the coil body 3. A base end of the joining part 7 is formed of rectangular projecting portions 8 projecting to a base end side in a longitudinal direction and rectangular recessed portions 9 projecting to a tip end side in the longitudinal direction, into a longitudinal direction uneven shape along an outer peripheral direction in cross-section view.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 ガイドワイヤの先端接合部とコイル体との接合強度を向上させ、先端接合部がコイル体から離脱することを防止したガイドワイヤを提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】 コアシャフト５と、そのコアシャフト５の外周を覆うコイル体３と、コアシャフト５の先端とコイル体３の先端とを接合する接合部７とを備えたガイドワイヤ１において、接合部７の基端は、長手方向基端側に突出する矩形状の凸部８と、長手方向先端側に突出する矩形状の凹部９とによって、横断面視外周方向に沿って長手方向凹凸形状に形成されている。【選択図】図１
