Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary machine which can improve cooling efficiency of the stator, while reducing windage loss between respective salient poles of the rotor.SOLUTION: A rotary machine 1 includes a rotor 2 having multiple salient poles 6, a stator 3 arranged to surround the rotor 2, and having multiple salient poles 7, multiple coils 8 wound around respective salient poles 7, and a housing 4 fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the stator 3, and housing the rotor 2 and stator 3.
