PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a currency processor capable of reducing a work load of maintenance work.SOLUTION: A currency processor comprises a housing 11, a currency processing unit 12 which can be horizontally pulled out and pushed into the housing 11, a movement mechanism 53 which can move the currency processing unit 12 in a pushing direction to the housing 11 in an electrically-driven manner, abnormality detection means for detecting the presence or absence of abnormality in movement of the currency processing unit 12 and control means 44 for stopping the driving of the movement mechanism 53 in the pushing direction when the abnormality detection means detects abnormality in movement of the currency processing unit 12 at the time of driving of the movement mechanism 53 in the pushing direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】保守作業の作業負荷軽減を図ることができる貨幣処理装置の提供。【解決手段】筐体１１と、筐体１１に対し水平方向に引き出しおよび押し込み可能な貨幣処理ユニット１２と、貨幣処理ユニット１２を筐体１１に対して押し込み方向に電動で移動させる移動機構５３と、貨幣処理ユニット１２の移動の異常の有無を検出する異常検出手段と、移動機構５３の押し込み方向の駆動時に、異常検出手段が貨幣処理ユニット１２の移動の異常有りを検出すると、移動機構５３の押し込み方向の駆動を停止させる制御手段４４とを有する。【選択図】図１
