Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize manufacturing cost reduction and compactification of a hermetic compressor provided with an accumulator and an oil tank.SOLUTION: A hermetic compressor 1 comprises: a hermetic casing 2; compression mechanism parts 3 and 4 and an electric motor 5 for driving these, housed inside the hermetic casing 2; and an external tank 11 provided outside the hermetic casing 2. An accumulator chamber 16 and an oil storage chamber 17 are formed as separate chambers inside the external tank 11.
