Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which improves the image quality by suppressing sedimentation of liquid in a recovery container in margin-less printing.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus having a recovery container provided on the outer lower side of the periphery of both side edges in the width direction of a recording medium includes: a storage unit which creates enlarged image data which is obtained by magnifying data of the printing object, is larger than a recording medium and in which a range containing a protruded portion of the side edge in the width direction is a discharge region when executing margin-less printing, and stores the combination thickening due to the characteristics between the plurality of types of liquid and the plurality of types of liquid in association with each other; and a protrusion deletion unit which creates a first image data region corresponding to the region to which the first liquid is discharged by deleting data of the region protruding to the outer side with respect to one side edge from the enlarged image data when it is determined that mixing of the first liquid with the second liquid is impossible on the basis of the combination, and creates a second image data region corresponding to the region to which the second liquid is discharged by deleting the region protruding to the outer side with respect to the other side edge from the enlarged image data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 【課題】縁なし印刷において、回収容器内での液体の堆積を抑制し画像品質を向上させる画像処理装置の提供。【解決手段】記録媒体の幅方向の両側縁の周辺の外側下方に設けられた回収容器を有する画像形成装置は、縁なし印刷を実施する際、印刷対象のデータを変倍して記録媒体よりも大きく幅方向の側縁がはみ出る部分を含む範囲を吐出領域とする拡大画像データを作成し、複数の種類の液体と複数の種類の液体間の特性によって増粘する組み合わせを対応づけて記憶する記憶部と、組み合わせに基づいて第1の液体と第2の液体との混合が不可と判定された場合、拡大画像データから一方の側縁より外側にはみ出る領域のデータを削除することで、第1の液体を吐出する領域に相当する第1の画像データ領域を作成し、拡大画像データから他方の側縁より外側にはみ出る領域を削除することで、第2の液体を吐出する領域に相当する第2の画像データ領域を作成する。【選択図】図10
