Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can accurately notify an operator including a user and a person in charge of service of information on the life of photoreceptors being image carriers.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: image carriers that carry toner images; toner image forming means that forms the toner images on the image carriers; transfer means that transfers the toner images formed on the image carriers to a transfer target body; cleaning members that are arranged in contact with the image carriers and remove a toner remaining on the surfaces of the image carriers after the transfer; and a control part that performs processing for notifying an operator of information on the life of the image carriers on the basis of contact pressure information on the contact pressure of the cleaning members against the image carriers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】像担持体である感光体の寿命に関する情報を精度よくユーザーやサービス担当者などの操作者に報知することのできる画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】画像形成装置は、トナー像を担持する像担持体と、像担持体にトナー像を形成するトナー像形成手段と、像担持体に形成されたトナー像を被転写体に転写させる転写手段と、像担持体に当接して配置され、上記転写の後に像担持体の表面に残留したトナーを除去するクリーニング部材と、クリーニング部材の像担持体に対する当接圧に関する当接圧情報に基づいて、像担持体の寿命に関する情報を報知するための処理を行う制御部と、を有する構成とする。【選択図】図５
