Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate some defaults found in the prior art coupler for use in connecting a lateral plate and a vertical plate that the lateral plate and the vertical plate have divergent grooves at each of their middle parts, a connecting member having the substantial same shape as that of a merging groove formed by aligning grooves of each of the lateral plate and the vertical plate, the prior art coupler should form the divergent grooves at the lateral plate and the vertical plate that are hardly made and the prior art coupler caused a connecting work to become difficult due to non-stable states of the lateral plate and the vertical plate when both plates are connected.SOLUTION: A coupler for plate members of this invention is comprised of a pair of holding rails formed with divergent grooves and position determining parts for stabilizing a lateral plate and a vertical plate; and a connecting member having the same shape as that of an inserting part that is formed when the pair of holding rails are overlapped to each other. With this arrangement as above, it is not necessary to form the divergent grooves at the lateral plate and the vertical plate that are hard to be formed and a connecting work can be easily carried out due to a stable state of the pair of holding rails when the connecting work is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 横板と縦板を接続する従来の接続具は、横板と縦板に、それぞれ中部が末広がりとなった溝を刻設し、横板と縦板のそれぞれの溝を合わせてできた括れ溝に、該括れ溝と略同一形状の連結部材を挿入するものであった。しかしながら従来の接続具は、横板と縦板に刻設困難な末広がりの溝を刻設しなければならなかった。また従来の接続具は、板材を接続するときに、横板と縦板が安定しないため、接続作業が困難となっていた。【解決手段】 本発明の板材の接続具は、末広がりの溝が形成されているとともに、横板と縦板を安定させる位置決めが形成された一対の保持レールと、一対の保持レールを重ねたときに形成される挿入部と同一形状の連結材からなるものである。これにより、横板と縦板に刻設困難な末広がりの溝を形成する必要がなく、また接続作業時に一対の保持レールが安定しているため、接続作業が容易に行える。【選択図】図1
