Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress influence on vehicle behavior in switching a gear stage of an automatic transmission in failure of an intermediate gear stage.SOLUTION: In a case of occurence of failure of an intermediate gear stage, whether gear stage is switched between a low-side gear stage lower than the intermediate gear stage by one stage and a high-side gear stage higher than the intermediate gear stage by one is executed or not is determined on the basis of a prescribed relationship on determination of switching of the gear stage between the low-side gear stage and the intermediate gear stage, so that the switching of the gear stage between the low-side gear stage and the high-side gear stage in a low vehicle speed zone (that is, skip shift by skipping the intermediate gear stage which cannot be formed) can be executed, for example, in comparison with a case when a relationship to determine switching of the gear stage between the high-side gear stage and the intermediate gear stage is used. Thus in switching the gear stage of an automatic transmission 22 in the failure of the intermediate gear stage, the influence on vehicle behavior (for example, change of accelerating/decelerating speed of a vehicle 10, change of driving force and the like) can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】中間ギヤ段故障時の自動変速機のギヤ段切替えにおいて、車両挙動への影響を抑制する。【解決手段】中間ギヤ段故障が生じている場合には、中間ギヤ段よりも1段ロー側のギヤ段と中間ギヤ段との間でのギヤ段の切替えを判断する所定の関係を用いて、そのロー側のギヤ段と中間ギヤ段よりも1段ハイ側のギヤ段との間でのギヤ段の切替えを実行するか否かが判断されるので、例えばそのハイ側のギヤ段と中間ギヤ段との間でのギヤ段の切替えを判断する関係を用いることと比較して、低車速域でロー側のギヤ段とハイ側のギヤ段との間でのギヤ段の切替え(すなわち形成不能な中間ギヤ段を飛ばす飛び変速)を実行することができる。よって、中間ギヤ段故障時の自動変速機22のギヤ段切替えにおいて、車両挙動への影響(例えば車両10の加減速度の変動、駆動力変化など)を抑制することができる。【選択図】図8
