Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that is designed for a plurality of sizes of recording media and suppresses unevenness in temperature in the longitudinal direction of a fixing member.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: end-part heat sources 26a and 26b and center-part heat sources 23A and 23B that respectively have heating areas partially overlap with each other in the longitudinal direction of a fixing member 21; a plurality of fixing member temperature detection means 51 that are arranged in parts other than the overlapping parts to detect the temperature of a fixing member; first pressure member temperature detection means 61A that is arranged in a part other than the overlapping parts to detect the temperature of a pressure member; and second pressure member temperature detection means 61a and 61b that are arranged in the overlapping areas to detect the temperature of the pressure member.
