Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a length measuring device capable of holding a work which is a workpiece in a desired posture.SOLUTION: A length measuring device 1 is equipped with a slide rail 13 integrally fixed to a work machining device; and a slide portion 20 which is slidably installed on the slide rail 13, and has a slide body 30, a length measurement apparatus 80 measuring a distance by which the slide body 30 moves along the slide rail 13, and an abutting member 60 abutting a work during length measurement. The abutting member 60 includes a work abutting portion 70 abutting on the work, and an arm portion 61 fixed to the slide body 30 and supporting the work abutting portion 70.
