Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mutual positioning accuracy by preventing permanent magnets which are attracted to each other, from being displaced from each other in a direction orthogonal to pole surfaces of the permanent magnets.SOLUTION: A mechanical element comprises a first permanent magnet unit U1 in which a pair of permanent magnets 1 each having an N pole surface and an S pole surface is coupled while making their N pole surfaces opposite to each other with a yoke 3 consisting of a magnetic substance interposed therebetween; and a second permanent magnet unit U2 in which a pair of permanent magnets 1 each having an N pole surface and an S pole surface is coupled while making their S pole surfaces opposite to each other with a yoke 3 consisting of a magnetic substance interposed therebetween. The first permanent magnet unit U1 and the second permanent magnet unit U2 are disposed while making outer side faces on which an outer peripheral surface of the yoke 3 constituting a boundary part 2 of a pair of permanent magnets 1 in each of the units U1 and U2 appears, opposite to each other. In an arrangement state where the first permanent magnet unit U1 and the second permanent magnet unit U2 are arranged, the outer peripheral surfaces of the yokes 3 of the units U1 and U2 are made closer and attracted to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】 吸着し合う永久磁石同士の極面に直交する方向の互いのずれを防止して、互いの位置決め精度の向上を図る。【解決手段】 N極面及びS極面を有した一対の永久磁石1を、これらのN極面同士を磁性体からなるヨーク3を介して対峙させて結合した第1永久磁石ユニットU1と、N極面及びS極面を有した一対の永久磁石1を、これらのS極面同士を磁性体からなるヨーク3を介して対峙させて結合した第2永久磁石ユニットU2とを備え、第1永久磁石ユニットU1及び第2永久磁石ユニットU2は、該各ユニットU1,U2における一対の永久磁石1の境界部2を構成するヨーク3の外周面が現れる外側面同士を対面させて配置され、第1永久磁石ユニットU1及び第2永久磁石ユニットU2が配置された配置状態において、該各ユニットU1,U2の上記ヨーク3の外周面同士が接近吸着するようにした。【選択図】図2
