Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of PPE capable of largely reducing troubles such as increase of fine powder and scale adhesion in a deposition tank, and generation amount of a transition product at brand change, and providing PPE at good efficiency.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of PPE includes a polymerization process for oxidation polymerizing a phenolic compound in a polymer solution containing a good solvent of PPE and a catalyst to obtain a PPE mixture and a deposition process for adding the PPE mixture, a poor solvent of PPE and water to a deposition tank having a stirrer, mixing them and depositing PPE to obtain a slurry liquid containing a PPE granular article, the poor solvent of PPE and the water are added to the deposition tank through different pipes in the deposition process and the added amount of the water is 0.05 to 30 mass% based on 100 mass% of the poor solvent of PPE in the deposition process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明は、微粉の増加、析出槽内のスケール付着等のトラブル、銘柄変更時の過渡品の発生量、を大幅に低減させ、効率よくPPEを得ることができるPPEの製造方法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】本発明のPPEの製造方法は、PPEの良溶媒と触媒とを含む重合溶液中で、フェノール系化合物を酸化重合させて、PPE混合液を得る重合工程と、前記PPE混合液と、PPEの貧溶媒と、水とを、撹拌機を有する析出槽に添加し混合することにより、PPEを析出させてPPE粒状物を含むスラリー液を得る析出工程とを含み、前記析出工程において、前記PPEの貧溶媒と前記水とを異なる配管を通して前記析出槽に添加し、前記析出工程において、前記水の添加量を、前記PPEの貧溶媒100質量%に対して、0.05〜30質量%とすることを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
