PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene composition for container lids that has flowability, moldability, rigidity, impact resistance, repeated bending resistance, easy tearing of a thin part, and lasting engagement force in a balanced manner; is excellent in food hygiene; also keeps the shape itself and a good fit and exhibits excellent durability in high-temperature packing; and can stand repeated bending, wherein, the composition is particularly used for the lid of a container packed with contents at a relatively high temperature.SOLUTION: A polyethylene composition for container lids contains a component (A) satisfying a specific condition of 5-95 wt.% and a component (B) of 95-5 wt.%, the composition having an MFR of 10-100 g/10 min and a density of 0.925-0.950 g/cm.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】高流動性、成形性、剛性、耐衝撃性、繰返しの耐折曲げ性、薄肉部の易引裂性、係合力長期維持性のバランスが良好で、かつ食品衛生性に優れ、高温充填時の形状保持性や嵌合力の維持性、耐久性にも優れ、繰返しの折曲げに耐え得る、特に内容物が比較的高温で充填される容器蓋用ポリエチレン組成物の提供。【解決手段】特定の条件を満足する成分（Ａ）を５〜９５重量％及び成分（Ｂ）を９５〜５重量％含有し、かつ、組成物のＭＦＲが１０〜１００ｇ／１０分、密度が０．９２５〜０．９５０ｇ／ｃｍ３である容器蓋用ポリエチレン組成物。【選択図】なし
