Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video editing device capable of making faster drawing processing on character information composed of an image and efficiently executing editing on the character information.SOLUTION: A video editing device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a drawing data storage part which stores drawing data of a plurality of layers constituting an image; a drawing part which generates drawing data corresponding to layers after editing based upon editing processing carried out on a layer selected out of the plurality of layers; a composition part which generates an after-editing image by putting together drawing data of the plurality of layers including the drawing data of the layer after the editing by replacing drawing data of a layer as an object of the editing processing among the drawing data of the plurality of layers with the drawing data corresponding to the layer after the editing; and a display part which displays the after-editing image in real time each time the after-editing image is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】画像で構成された文字情報の描画処理を高速化し、文字情報の編集を効率的に実行可能な映像編集装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の一実施形態に係る映像編集装置は、画像を構成する複数のレイヤの描画データを記憶する描画データ記憶部と、前記複数のレイヤの中から選択されたレイヤに対して実行された編集処理に基づいて、編集後のレイヤに対応する描画データを生成する描画部と、前記複数のレイヤの描画データのうち前記編集処理の対象となったレイヤの描画データを、前記編集後のレイヤに対応する描画データに差し替えて、前記編集後のレイヤの描画データを含む複数のレイヤの描画データを合成して編集後画像を生成する合成部と、前記編集後画像が生成されるたびにリアルタイムで前記編集後画像を表示する表示部と備えたことを特徴とする。【選択図】 図1
