PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation map automatic generation system which can reduce time and bother to make a vegetation map.SOLUTION: A system 10 generating a vegetation map based on local vegetation automatically comprises: photographing means 12 for photographing vegetation of an object domain of the vegetation map making; position and direction detection means 14 for detecting a photographing position and a photographing direction of the photographing means 12; three dimensional data acquisition means 16 for acquiring three dimensional data indicating space position of the vegetation from the photographed image on the basis of the detected photographing position and photographing direction; and map generation means 18 for generating the vegetation map by reflecting the acquired three dimensional data on a plane indicating the object domain of vegetation map making.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】植生マップの作成にかかる時間や手間をより一層減らせる植生マップ自動生成システムを提供する。【解決手段】現地の植生に基づいて植生マップを自動的に生成するシステム１０であって、植生マップの作成対象領域の植生を撮影する撮影手段１２と、撮影手段１２の撮影位置および撮影方向を検知する位置方向検知手段１４と、検知した撮影位置および撮影方向に基づいて、撮影した画像から植生の空間位置を表す三次元データを取得する三次元データ取得手段１６と、取得した三次元データを植生マップの作成対象領域を表す平面上に投影して植生マップを生成するマップ生成手段１８とを備えるようにする。【選択図】図１
