Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of preventing degradation in display quality by ions in a liquid crystal layer.SOLUTION: A display device relating to one embodiment includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposing to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer present between the first substrate and the second substrate. The display device further includes a display region, a peripheral region outside the display region, a light-shielding layer overlapping the peripheral region, a voltage supply wiring disposed in the peripheral region and extending in a first direction, and a first electrode and a second electrode disposed in the peripheral region and connected to the voltage supply wiring.
